In this period of uncertainty, a united front is the strongest front. Managing the spread of COVID-19 and providing care for those affected remains the top priority, and the world is coming together to do just that.
Globally, we have observed scientists, doctors, nurses, and essential workers put their lives on the line to combat the ongoing health crisis; we have also seen billions of ordinary citizens put their lives on pause to prioritize the wellbeing of others before their own. Corporations are also stepping up by taking serious measures to protect their employees inside and out of the office. They are supporting global citizens by committing time and money and by reconfiguring supply chains to produce essential products needed to battle the pandemic. On behalf of Eurazeo, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to these individuals and companies for taking such substantial measures in these extraordinary times.
At Eurazeo, we are committed to supporting our team and our investment companies’ employees during this crisis. Our top priority at the firm level is the health and safety of our employees, and we are applying the government’s directives in every country where the Group has a presence. In order to minimize the risk of spreading the virus amongst our teams, we have taken steps over the last few weeks to adapt our working methods, such as:
- All of our employees are working remotely to maintain the continuity of our business activity to the greatest extent possible while still protecting everyone’s well-being;
- No visitors are permitted to enter our offices;
- Meetings are now held by video conference;
- All foreign or domestic business travel and in-person participation in conferences or group events are cancelled until further notice.
The Group's management has been mobilized to ensure continuous monitoring of this crisis’ evolution for the foreseeable future. Our Executive Committee meets weekly by videoconference to review its impact on our activities.
We are very proud of all of our teams, which have shown great solidarity, empathy, commitment, and work ethic in supporting our Group and our investment companies since the outbreak of this crisis.
