Eurazeo today announced the launch of its photography competition’s 13th edition. Since 2010, the Prix Eurazeo has recognized the work of professional photographers by awarding a cash prize of €10,000 along with an opportunity for the winner to exhibit his or her photographs.
The theme chosen for the 2022 edition is “TELL US A STORY.”
Additionally, the Prix Eurazeo competition jury met to select this year’s two recipients of “Eurazeo pour la Jeune Création” grants, which are awarded as part of the Group’s partnership with the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP) in Arles.
For this second year of the program, Clémence Elman and Tal Yaron have been chosen to receive support from Eurazeo.
The jury recognizes once again the wonderful work, commitment and artistry of all recent ENSP graduates and is pleased to be helping these two young photographers realize their full potential.
Photographs by the competition’s Grand Prix winner as well as those of the grant recipients should be presented in an exhibition that may be held during the Rencontres d’Arles international photography festival, of which Eurazeo became a sponsor this year, through the “Une Année en Images” outreach program. This program, which is conducted in 10 middle and high schools belonging to the Nice and Aix-Marseille educational districts, aims to raise awareness among students of photography as an art form and of photographic practice in line with the themes explored during the festival.
REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS – PRIX EURAZEO
Photographers working in all fields of photography are encouraged to propose their vision of the selected theme. The competition is open to all professional photographers, whether they are established or emerging, and across every type of practice (visual artists, photojournalists, landscape or portrait artists, etc.). Each applicant is asked to submit a series of photographs in A4 format (21 × 29.7 cm, or 8.3 × 11.7 in.) characterized by formal consistency that is the reflection of a personal vision and perspective or tells a story in 10 successive images. Shortlisted entries will be presented to a jury of 10 members, mainly comprised of experts from the world of photography, together with representatives from Eurazeo, who will cast votes to select the winner.
COMPETITION PROCEDURES
The competition procedures are described in the Prix Eurazeo rules and guidelines, which are available on the www.eurazeo.com website or by sending a written request to the company.
Submissions from applicants must be received by November 15, 2022 at the latest.

Clémence Elman
IF I CAN MAKE IT HERE, I CAN MAKE IT ANYWHERE, THAT’S WHAT THEY SAY
“Taking as my starting point a voluntarily naive confusion between Niort, a town in the Deux-Sèvres department of western France, and New York, I am interested in discovering traces of the American metropolis in and near this French town. By bringing together personal fantasies and widely held notions about American culture, my aim is to find points of attachment for them in Niort and its environs. As I draw connections between these two territories a narrative will emerge through which I will be exploring the illustrative function of images and the interpretive potential of information, both visually and textually.”
Tal Yaron
PLASTIC PLAST
“My research for this project is focused on the village of Noyant-d’Allier in the Auvergne region of central France. I only became aware of its importance for my personal heritage when my grandmother passed away in 2009. This village, the members of its original Indo-Chinese community, and their descendants still living there today are part of a long and forgotten history. My project will involve experimentation with my own photographic works and archival images verging toward the creation of hybrid sculptural forms to tell this unique story and convey its reality.”
