Jim Varas

Jim joins Eurazeo as Financial Director of the Growth strategy.

Prior to joining, Jim served as Chief Financial Officer of Aviron Investments and Tanica, two leading Chilean family offices, engaged in entrepreneurial activities, and served as Investment Director of Mantos Copper, a PE-backed company, where he helped secure critical debt financing for the expansion projects of the company and its merger with Capstone Mining. 

Previously, Jim was for almost a decade with EXOR, originating, analyzing and executing investments in both public and private equity markets, and working closely with the top management teams of the companies in EXOR’s portfolio. During that period, Jim also served as Finance Director of Stellantis in the United States. Jim started his career as a Mergers & Acquisitions banker at BNP Paribas and UBS Investment Bank in London. 

Jim graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, and holds an MBA from College des Ingenieurs de Paris.
